Additional components are needed where the floor does not meet a wall. An example is where the door into a room might swing into the room. This area is called a step well or a ramp well. This is where the floor terminates and the floor needs to be skirted with closure plate so you can’t see under the raised floor.
In access floor environments, aluminum fascia is used as a closure plate to trim exposed areas of your access floors and ramps. Closure plate is also needed along the side of ramps that project out from the access floor.
Our complete Closure Kit includes stucco embossed sheet aluminum fascia plate, bottom angle (to fasten it to the subfloor), silver stair nosing (to trim to finish the transition between the top of your floor to the closure plate) and fascia trim screws.
Closure kit is available in 8’ increments in five different heights.
