The most effective way to allow cables to pass safely through panels in your raised floor system is by installing grommets. Grommets form a protective barrier around valuable cabling, preventing them from being sliced or abraded by the sharp panel edges created when the floor is cut. They also have the added benefit of keeping fingers and hands safe from the same sharp edges while handling cables in cut-out areas of panels.
Our heavy-duty grommets are made from flame-retardant A.B.S plastic resins and are resistant to chipping and breakage. Standard grommet color is black, however, grey is also available by special order. Larger sizes are also available here.
A 1 7/8" hole is needed for installation, while the internal cable opening size is 1 5/8". Grommet is 1 1/2" deep for full protection from the cut raised floor panel. Each order includes six 1 7/8" grommets.
Please remember that a hole saw is required to cut the opening in a floor panel when using circular grommets.
