L Molding

L Molding - extruded PVC edging material used to trim rectangular and irregular shaped cutouts. Shaped like the letter "L" the short edge is fastened to the top of the access floor panel allowing the longer edge to protrude downward into the cutout. Used to protect the wiring insulation and the technician’s hands from being cut by sharp edges created when a panel is cut to allow for wiring penetrations. Usually provided in 4’ lengths, field cut to fit. Sometimes called cutout trim.
