Panel - the 24" x 24" component which forms the walking surface of a raised floor. Typically constructed of steel it can be filled with lightweight concrete or pressboard. Also can be constructed of aluminum or concrete with steel reinforcing bars. Sometimes referred to as plate or tile, panels, decking, false floors, pans, raised decks, reinforcing plates, and false decks.
